    BSOD Memory Management intermittently occurring

    Hi all,

I'm having random BSOD events occur on this PC, I've attached the logs. I've tried a couple of things but the error still pops up from time to time, just doing normal stuff like light web browsing. I tried to resolve the issue last year by re-installing Windows but the issue persists.

One very strange thing to note is that I suspected a hardware issue with the memory after recieving the memorymanagement bsod, so I ran the latest version of MEMTEST. Straight away I got errors. I reseated the RAM modules and the errors went away - but the BSOD happen again just a few days later!

I've updated the drivers for the Graphics Card and Audio drivers - but perhaps I've missed something else?

I still suspect a hardware issue but hopefully it's something simplier than that.

UPDATE 8 hrs later New driver list after updating USB and NIC drivers.

    Hi trawler78.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

If it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

       Information
    Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

       Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

       Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

Thanks. As I've already done an overnight run of memtest (around 11 cycles) with no errors after reseating the RAM.

I've just updated the USB and LAN drivers from the Asus support site - not sure if that will help. I'll update the original post with the new DriverList.

DriverVerifier is now running so we'll see how things go. It's about a week or so between BSOD's so could take a while.

Another thing to mention is that while this PC is new it's running an old Brother inkjet printer which has a parallel interface and is connected via a Parallel-USB adapter. To get this working properly I had to find a hacked printer spooler for this model (Brother Deskjet 720C - details here Deskjet 710/720/810/820/1000 Series printers - Patch for 64 ... - HP Support Forum - 203377).

But the BSOD has never occured while printing so not sure if it's that.

You are suggested to run Driver Verifier.
