You can try cleaning out the temporary files, cookies, etc with CCleaner. I can't endorse the registry cleaner part, but you can use the other stuff safely.
Check the performance tab in Task Manager. Could you please post a screenshot?

You could improve your speed further by replacing Kaspersky with Microsoft Security Essentials.
Uninstall all unneeded programs in Programs and Features.

I can't tell from that screenshot, but I know that Kaspersky is a big program, and MSE is so lightweight, I have heard of a guy that didn't realize it was even running!
