You should be able to uninstall IE9 through installed updates.

Would it be possible to go back to IE 8 from IE 9 ?

I'm not liking this on my laptop..nothing looks familiar.

I'm having a hard time getting PowerPoint Viewer to function as it did with Windows XP..
it would just open when I needed it to view anything shared with me in hotmail or another e-mail program or YouTube .
    Thanks for any help
Hello M'Lady, joined us on Windows 7 have you?

You can uninstall IE 9 and return to IE 8 if indeed IE 8 was originally installed

    Internet Explorer 9 - Uninstall

I personally only saw minor differences between 8 and 9 which I quickly got used to.

As to the PowerPoint viewer, and any other issues, you might wish to start a new thread in the correct forum, and link to that via a post in this thread. Hopefully we can then help you figure things out.
