    Folder sub-categories (annoying)

Just wondering how I could get rid of these folders showing. They're seriously annoying. Why are these folders appearing in my pictures folder? And the music folder has pictures in them now? Seriously kills the point of having folders and is such an eyesore.

    Thanks in advanced.

Hello Wat, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In the Library, you can click on View (Alt+V) on the Menu bar, Group By, and None to have it listed without this or how you want instead.

    Hope this helps,

Thank you, but I was wondering on how to not have these files show up in eachother's folders at all. I just want my music files in my music folder and my pictures in the picture. not both clumped.

To put it in better words, I want it to be set to the way it was when I first got the computer. I don't remember this being here before and dont' know how it got here.
    Thanks in advanced.

    Wat,

Ah ok, I see what you mean now. It looks like you have included the other folders in the library. For each library, you can remove the included folder(s) that you do not want to not have them in there.

For example, remove the included "Video" folders in your "Music" library, and include the "Video" folders in your "Video" library instead.

Truly thank you for the trouble of helping me. I have one last issue, and that is to get rid of the following. I do not recall these being here when I first installed my W7 and wish to get rid of them as they do not look natural.

The items that are circled, please refresh my memory because I do not remember those being there. If I'm not just paranoid I'd like some help in removing them. Thanks again.

    You're most welcome Wat. :)

The first circled item is the Library Pane. It is turned on by default in Windows 7, but you can turn it off.

Library Pane - Turn On or Off

You can get rid of the second circled item by using that Group by setting from the post above.
