According to HP that laptop is not a North American build. No drivers or information.

So you will have to try HP for the country of origin.

Umm.. I'm a tad lazy to call to be honest!.. I have no idea why I cant get the keyboard to work. I looked at my other laptop on w7 too, and noticed some standard ms drivers for keyboard, but I dont know to install those drivers to the keyboard..

The keyboard works fully outside the OS (DOS etc)..

Im just tempted to format the pc, and load xp instead!.. grrr.

It is a European model - but does not have any support on HP for W7, only 2000, XP, Vista. how daft.

    Hi all,

I think we can call it a day on this old thread!..

I found a modest solution. just installed XP!.. hey presto. all gravy. stable, quick, and does the job well.. My other lappy has W7, so its ok.

    Thanks all..
