Windows 7 - hp p1010 printer driver required

i have one hp 1010 printer attached to my computer. but i cant print from my computer. i cant install the printer in my Windows 7 os. i think its not compatible with Windows 7. so if any one of you sirs can provide the printer driver for hp 1010 i can use my printer. i searched the web but of no use. so please help me sirs.

No it is not compatible, but here is the page for the download: HP LaserJet 1010 Printer series*-* HP LaserJet 1010/1012/1015 Printing System - HP Business Support Center

Download it to your Desktop, then see this to install in: Compatibility Mode

If it is a 32bit program, take note of the blue note box at the top.

Especially the part about using the HP Laserjet 5200L driver.

nice coincidence, we have the same printer at work. lol

. Following Anak's suggestions, if you get an error saying print spool is not working you have to restart etc, go to start button, in search. type services and open it, look for print spool. you will have to keep playing around with the start, stop, automatic, manual of the start up types until it adds the printer in devices and printers. this is how i fixed my problem in 3 computers at work

thanks for the information on your first post,cause this will help me install the drivers on the pc that has the printer connected to it. as it is currently running XP and 4 out of 8 computers have windows 7 installed and im looking forward to install windows 7 for the one with the HP printer too.
