Modem Samsung sgh-z810 works in Windows 7

    Hi Pebbly,how you doing,I'm stuck again.Thanks for help I had a look in other threats but only this one seems to have something useful.I' m trying to find some driver which works under windows 7 without the need to emulate xp every time I connect modem to computer.

    Oldo , have you tried these drivers Support for SGH-Z810 SAMSUNG they are for multi OS installation , the highest being Vista ,install them in compatibility mode for Vista Compatibility Mode , I will still keep on researching :)

    Oldo, I know you stated you did not want to use Virtual XP mode but read this ZeroCD technology and Windows 7 « PZolee's blog you only have to use VXPM once and you are set to go using the modem in win7 , give it a try its an excellent workaround

    Ok it took me some time but I set it up as advised here ZeroCD technology and Windows 7 « PZolee's blog

    Good
    I'm connected to internet through windows 7

    Bad
    It seems to me I have to start XP mode,conect modem to VM and tweak its settings everytime I connect to net.Which is a real pain considering you running 2 Os at a time and should threat Xp mode as a standalone OS (antivirus protection, updates,etc...)

    So it's basically same as a connection through VM Workstation but Xp mode is free and somewhat easier to use

    Sure, I installed loopback adapter, set its IP and connected it with VM and Windows 7.
    I will try to figure out that user name and pw for connection
