How do I install xp drivers on my windows 7 machine?

I have a business card scanner that I would like to use with my windows 7 machine. Unfortunately after having installed the software, Win 7 is unable to find and install a driver for it (even having gone online to search for the drivers).

Using the same software I downloaded, I installed it on a friend's Windows XP laptop and the scanner gets its drivers installed automatically.

Website unfortunately does not have any more support for this 3 year old product.

My question is if there is any way of installing this device under windows 7 with an XP driver? I would like to use it within Windows 7 if possible.

    Thanks!

I don't think this is going to work - espcially with an XP driver, maybe with a Vista driver. If there is no native Win7 driver for that device, a Vista driver is worth a try but no guarantee.
