    I need help!

Okay, so I opened my computer and every one of my files, like internet explorer, and ALLLLL the icons are microsoft picture manager. So everything I try to open, opens picture manager and it says "file doesn't exist." I really don't know what's wrong or what to do about it. I tried restoring it, but it didn't work. If it's a virus, Norton hasn't picked up on it. I dunno what to do

Hi ToxicTears, welcome to the forums :)

You might want to look at Default File Type Associations - Restore and see if it helps.

Follow Shark's advice. After that, It'd be a good idea to re-build the icon cache too.. Just in case if thats too causing or playing a part in the problem. Go to your %username%\appdata and search for a file 'IconCache.db' and delete it. Restart Explorer.exe process through task manager (end it first>file menu>new task>type Explorer.exe)

I think I'm going to cry. I can't fix anything. Now I can't even right click the desktop screen and bring up that little property window thing. Grawr.

It sounds like a System Restore may be in order then.
