    Icon Size


    Hi there,
    I try to change W7 desktop Icon on the registry. But nothing changes. The Icon still
    Could somebody here help me with this issue?
    This is what I appy:

    1-I tried this one:
    reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell \Bags\1\Desktop" /v IconSize /t REG_DWORD /d 00000016 /f

    2-I tried olso this one:
    reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics" /v Shell Icon Size /t REG_SZ /d 16 /f


    The Icons size on the Desktop still the same: Middle.

    rite click desktop click view . small icons , medium icons , large icons ? u tryed that

    I don't want to do that by right click and then change the Icon size because is a part of a big projet. The W7 installation will be on WDS and some script will be applied on every laptop.

    Hello Marco,

    I have attached some REG files for you that will work for this. Once the REG file is merged, you would either need to kill and restart the explorer process, or log off and log on to apply the new desktop icon size without refreshing the desktop before doing so. If you refresh the desktop first, then it reapplies whatever desktop icon size you had set before merging the REG file again.

    Either way, it would be much easier to right click on the desktop, click on View, and select a size instead.
