Computer Randomly Instantly Restarts - No bluescreen

    Hi,

My PC has been doing this for the last few months, it will randomly restart without warning. There is nothing in the event logs apart from "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first." and this:

    Log Name: System

I assume that this is just an error about a missing USB driver I have.

This only seems to happen when I am playing Counterstrike: GO. I have tried setting all clock speeds to normal but that doesn't fix the issuse. I also recently reinstalled windows which seemed to stop the problem for about a week then it came back.

Another thing I tried was Memtest 86 which completed with no errors.

I am at a loss here on why this is happening and would greatly appreciate some help with this.

    Thanks.

Work through the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

What is the missing driver in Device Manager? If you need to trace it use Device Manager - Finding Unknown Devices - Windows 7 Help Forums

But first enable Automatically deliver drivers via Windows Update (Step 3)
then Check for Windows Updates, install all Important and Optional Updates exept Bing. After reboots check again until no more are offered.

Press the Windows Logo key and the pause/break key. Then click Advanced system settings on the left. Under the advanced tab, click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery. Now make sure Automatically restart is unchecked in the System failure section. Unchecking automatically restart, if it was checked, should get you a BSOD instead of an immediate restart. The code shown there may help you figure out what went wrong.

Oh? I didn't think to try this because it INSTANTLY turned off, like so fast I didn't think it would even log and error or BSOD.

    Will try that.

It's set by default and one of the first things I turn off.
