Taskbar Icon Corruption: only one program is bad, how do I fix it?
Folks,
I'm running a background monitoring program, CAM v2.1.5 by NZXT (for my AIO liquid cooler). When I minimize the program, the taskbar icon defaults to the Windows system icon.
1. If I right click the program's taskbar icon (the defaulted Windows system icon), I can select "pin this program to the taskbar". There is no change.
2. If I then right click the program's taskbar icon (the defaulted Windows system icon), I can select "unpin this program from the taskbar". At that point, the CORRECT icon appears.
3. I can then maximize and minimize the program from the taskbar and the correct icon remains.
The program is set to autostart when my machine is turned on.
How do I get the correct icon to appear on the taskbar without having to pin and unpin?
Additional information: The Start Menu icon is also corrupted. Right clicking the start menu icon, properties, shortcut, shows the proper "looking" icon, yet the icon on the Start Menu is the default Windows system icon.
Choosing the 64x64 sized icon from the program's install folder as the start menu shortcut icon seems to have fixed the behavior.
Thanks,
Ken
