Why Do I Have No Mp3 Icon?

    Evening,

This is annoying the hell out of me, I got two problems here.

    1) I have no MP3 icon. Rather than a nice wmp11 icon when I'm in icon view mode I have the sort of white block with a .. oh hell this.

Still all plays in WMP11 or 12 or whichever WMP comes with Window 7 Home Prem. So any ideas as to fix?

    2) Back in icon thumbnail view mode, again mp3 files (Why didn't I say with XP?) I can't clear the thumbnail. They will not clear from the files (the album art ones). Any ideas with that one?

Ta for any help, sorry for being moany and rambly but it is 1am.

    Ta.

    Yo,

Yeah ... that didn't work. Which is odd.

Also using %appdata% in Run now doesn't work either. It asks me to try and open it with something.

    So very confusing.

    Lo again,

I had a twiddle and still no MP3 icon, I can't get the damn things to have one. Think I'm just going to have to reformat.

Try booting up in safe mode, then rebooting into Windows normally. Sometimes this corrects these types of icon problems.
