| | I don't know but maybe that particular driver was meant for windows 7 for Beta testing and that's why it came up in Windows update, just a thought. |

| | Hello Mr Grim. No I didn't get it from WU; I even had the Ethernet cable unplugged from the machine during the attempt. I tried to update to the same driver I had saved to one of my partitions. That's probably the reason it failed; how would I do it then? Thanks for the help!   Later Ted |

| | You might be better off trying to just click on the execute file for the driver but fist go into properties and change it compatibility mode for Vista. That's what did the first time I installed it before I got one from the Windows Update and it seemed to install without any problems. The driver you have now is the same one i am using at the moment and that was the one I got from the windows update and I couldn't find that particular driver on the Nvidia website. |
