    It's always the dumbest things like a bum cable or a connection not quite tight. Good job Alennia we pass no judgement here as we've all been exactly where you were ! Just glad it's working. Keep in mind there are only two types of drives......those that have failed and those about to, so back up, back up and then back up ! Cheers

    I'm definitely going to pick up a second external after this- scared the life right outta me. I could have gotten the data back, but in the interim I'd have been done for.

    Oooooh, that will be handy. I'd heard there was a way to do this, but wasn't sure how. Definitely going to try it!
