main partition is now a system partition?

i don't know if this is the right section for this but here goes, i installed a new windows 7 today on my laptop and the problem is it's using one of my main partitions as a system partition and made it invisible so i went to admin tools> computer management and found the partition that was invisible without a letter to it so i tried to add a letter so i can access it and when i try to install anything from it like MS Office it won't let me and i don't know how to make it not a system partition, formatting is a big no no.

    any help would be appreciated

You would need to post a screen shot of disk mgmt.

    Mark C Partition Active

Boot into Win7 installation media or System Repair Disk to run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times.

I'd delete the Logical partition in Disk Mgmt. First delete volume, then partition. Then Extend C into the space.

You can also annex or transfer space to or from any other partition even if its not adjacent using How to extend partition easily with Partition Wizard - video help.
