How do I remove Windows 7 (Single OS)?

I am selling my current pc and have backed everything up to my NAS. I want to remove the OS and leave it as a blank slate so I can sell the pc on. What is the best way to go about this?

I do have the original Windows 7 disk but it's in a sleeve (and I've packed the box with the key on as I'm moving house this weekend).

    Thanks

Pull the drive and connect it to your current pc and format it.

You could have used your windows disc to format it, or run the clean or clean all command.

I would just get your disc to do it, I mean how long will it take you to get it ?

    30 seconds :)

Can you start the computer? You can use mini tool partitcian wizard home edition boot edition to boot the computer and wipe the hard drive with a department of defence one's and zero's..... Then you can format and maybe do again...

Another option is to remove the hard drive and put onto another computer useing a usb to hard drive adapter. They are cheap around 25 dollars. And delete everything useing the software.

To get it cleanest so data is unrecoverable use Clean All command from the booted Win7 DVD or Repair CD System Recovery OptionsCommand Line: Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command
