7 Pro Disk wont load on formatted drive

So i had xp, just got 7 professional 64bit OEM disk from Microcenter. Disk wasnt loading so i formatted my drive with acronis (took\ like 7 hours) and have been trying to boot from the disk. Brings up "Disk boot failure-Insert disk and press enter". I searched and this seems to be a common problem but most have fixed it. The old XP disk boots...I cannot figure this out

This all started because i bought the new 2015 Quickbooks and wouldnt let me install it on XP

Have you set your machine to boot from optical drive or are you entering one time boot menu to tell it to load from dvd if not it will attempt to load from a blank hdd and give you an error like you are receiving

If booting from disc continues to give you problems you could try installing from a bootable flash drive, the first few steps in this tutorial will give you the steps to do this
Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

Have you run the win 7 upgrade advisor to see if all your hardware is supported by windows 7, given that its an XP machine you may have some legacy hardware that win 7 doesn't like ?
Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from Official Microsoft Download Center

i changed it in the bios to boot from dvd first and also tried the hdd first. when i had it on hdd first I hit f12 and for the boot menu and selected the dvd drive, but still same results all around.

    Ill try the bootable flash

I saw the upgrade advisor from another thread but i dont think i can use it because i dont have a way to run it...no OS installed

Why didn`t you just use the W7 disc to format the drive ?

7 hours ? Something`s up with the hard drive.

Use the Windows 7 dvd to run diskpart to clean the hard drive, using Command Prompt at boot.

Are you sure the optical drive is a DVD and not a CD? I've done this a couple times recently and wasted several hours before discovering it.
