student download vista home premium to 7 home premium
I have the student download of windows 7 home premium and after downloading and starting installation, it isnt compatible to upgrade from vista home premium. So do I have to burn some sort of dvd for installation, or can i just install from the download i was told to save on my desktop and let it do it's thing?

I have a question about future installs. Say I make an iso dvd for windows seven installation and install it on my computer, then down the road get a new hard drive and have to start all over, can i use my iso dvd and product code the start all over?

I have a question. if I buyed a laptop last summer with vista home premium preinstalled, if I will upgrade to windows 7 will it use the legit serialkey from vista, or it will need a new serialkey?
