    Outlook 2007 Not Responding, BSOD

    Hey guys

I have a problem with Outlook 2007 not responding and then after a while BSOD and restarting. I've got the dump file uploaded here:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46051015/112212-14071-01.dmp

Windows 7 Home Basic, it seems to only do it when connected to the internet, seeing as it's also fine in Safe Mode, it does connect to and Exchange Server. Also the computer had a virus/malware, which has been removed, I've also ran a Disk Check on startup everything is fine. I'm thinking something might have been damaged?

    Software used to remove virus/malware:
    Avast
    Malware Bytes

I appreciate any help/advice you can give.
    Regards

    Welcome to SevenForums.

It looks like Avast! antivirus is creating the problems itself.

    Code:

    KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000008e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.

Uninstall Avast! and replace with Microsoft security essentials (To Test)

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

    Thanks for the welcome.

Did as you said, seems to be stable, will check over the next few days and see what happens. I think what happened, this is someone elses PC, they activated the 30 Day Pro Trial, after switching back to the Free Version, Avast uninstalls some components, therefor the person actually installed MSE, I told them to uninstall one, seeing as the PC started doing this, thinking that the 2 Anti-Virus Programs were creating problem. I'm running MSE now, can probably install Avast again, but think lets not mess with something that is working.

Thanks for the quick response, appreciate it. Will come and Mark as Solved in a few days if the problem doesn't come back. (Doubt it will)

The free version of Avast! is good but some antiviruses aren't meant for some systems = problems. If and when that user installs it and it crashes again, MSE should be a permanent switch.

BTW yes, multiple antiviruses do create conflicts. Is it bad to run multiple antivirus programs?

Afraid of virus? Check Good and Free system security combination.,

A few good & small scanners

TDSSKiller: Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller, ESET online scanner: Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET and

And it's back, worked fine Thursday when I tested it... She didn't connect it to the internet or checked her emails till today. Same thing, PC works fine until you open Outlook, Outlook hangs. Here are three dump files from today:

    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46051015/112612-15880-01.dmp
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46051015/112612-17222-01.dmp
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46051015/112612-19905-01.dmp

Any help would be appreciated, also what program do you use to read the dump files?

    What antivirus is currently installed?

Update Realtek HD Audio Codec Driver from Driver Reference Table.

    Code:
    1: kd> lmvm RTKVHDA

Trusteer Ltd. Rapport Security software driver from Driver Reference Table

See if enabling/disabling USB Selective Suspense improves the situation:

    Run disk check again.

BTW, Please upload the msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

Only Microsoft Security Essentials is running.

    Here is the .nfo file:
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46051015/msinfo32.zip

I'll upgrade the drivers so long, disabled USB selective Suspense. Then do a Disk Check

    Thanks.

Do one more thing, that is Free up the start-up. Nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.

Currently at work, will check them when I'm home.

If in case all that I suggest does not help resolve this issue, your friend may have to revert to factory settings/installation OR perform clean install of the OS on the netbook/laptop and see if these problems persist.

And if it is a hardware problem, I hope it's within warranty for replacement if needed.
