like changing the names on movies i download i remove the excess stuff like file type etc some of the files have a title aside from the file name and when i play them in the win media player they alternate between title and file name is there some way i can change the title
With WMV files at least, you can right-click the file and open the properties: from the Details tab, you should be able to edit the title there

thats what i call the the file name i do that all the time some of the files have three titles like they show the renamed name them they show the original name then the company when played on the wmp some files have a title plus the file name which appears on the right if you put the folder on list you can see a title on some files were the size and date is have been able to change the file name but not the title can i change the title
What you need is a program similar to Professional Tag Editor .
This program allow you to change the tags of vidio and audio files like titles. You will find many such programs on internet. You can query Big Brother (Google) and get many such programs to suit your needs.
