Is My Ram FUBAR? Or Is IE8 FUBAR?

Ok so I'll just get straight to the point here. I just upgraded my OS from Windows XP to Win7x64 Ultimate about a week ago and I am really impressed at how well my PC performs now.. It looks beautiful.. its more user friendly and it boots up and runs alot fast than my old XP configuration. But then I started to become concerned when I saw that windows 7 was using 1.0GB of my 2.0GB's of Ram.. 80 percent of that being dedicated to Internet Explorer so I did some googling and discovered windows 7 likes to use alot of ram but can release it when you decide to game and will dedicate most of your ram to gaming.. cool I thought no big deal. Well today I noticed that my Internet Explorer was taking forever to load sites so I checked the Process Explorer to dicover that IE was using ALL My ram and 2 adiitional GB's of Virtual ram.. WTF? So I closed down IE and checked it again and it released about a gig of ram but was still using 1.8 of my 2.0GB of RAM.. even though it wasnt even running. So I rebooted and ran windows memory diagnostics before booting and it checked out.. logged in to check my RAM usuage and it was around 800 so yeah.. I think Internet Explorer is FUBAR nad I'm just going to download FireFox now but I just wanted to post here and let you guys know about this issue maybe you guys can speculate as to the cause or how I can fix my IE? Has anyone else ever experienced such a problem? I know win7 can use upto 128GB of ram but COME ON have some mercy! Don't start dipping into my VR when its not even necessary.. Free up some of that RAM IE you RAM hog!

Never heard snafu.. I gotta ask my old man about that one next time I see him. Fubar means 'Blanked' up beyond all recognition.

Thanks for your feedback I'll try that next time I'm on IE, as for now I think I'll just stick with FireFox, it seems to run a lot smoother and is only using about 80MB.. as opposed to the 4gb's that IE was using..
