    Asking about: MICROSOFT VISUAL C++

    Was it safe to uninstall it?? Im having a trouble with Gears of War,and im getting this error message

    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    Runtime Error!

    Program: ...Microsoft Games\Gears of War\Binaries\wargame-g4wlive.exe

    This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information"

    i tried to update,the Gears of war and i tried installing a latest vcredist_x86. .but i read an instruction that i must :"Locate and remove the existing installation of Visual C++,but i have four kinds of Microsoft visual.. ive got one Microsoft visual C++ 2008 and three Microsoft visual C++ 2005 and they have different version.

    How would i know where of that three must be uninstalled??

    or do you have any fixed for this Gears of War error??

    Thanks

    You will need to update all versions of Microsoft visual C++ ( so both 2005 and 2008). Also, i would make sure your game is patched with the latest update. You should be safe to uninstall the programs if you plan on reinstalling them, i would make a restore point first though, just to be safe. Also i wouldn't worry about having different versions of C++ installed, they basically run side by side with each other.

    I tried installing a 2010 version of C++,but it did not work. Yeah my game was patched with the latest update from its official website,but none of this work..

    do you have any idea what version of C++ gears of war use?

    Not sure but if I had to guess i'd say 2005, but to be on the safe side you'll want C++2005 & C++2008 updates.

    If C++ installed and the game still isn't running than you need to see if the game is compatible with Windows 7.
