does Ccleaner attack my windows?

The CCleaner reg cleaner is what I would call a "mild version". But it is counterproductive anyhow. There is absolutely no good reason to use any register cleaner in Vista and Windows7. It buys you zippo, but it could give you trouble.

I agree that the registry cleaner for ccleaner is slightly less than useless.

As with any automated system, they run the risk of getting some things wrong. I trust ccleaner to do its job, but i do untick a few items on its joblists. In the registry cleaner I untick unused file extensions, obsolete software, and run at startup.

I think the first time I ever said that, I was referring to a MacBook that didn't have an optical drive

i think you should use all of the functions in ccleaner..there is no harm..i've been using it for almost a year without any problems..the registry cleaner is very very mild..if u compare ccleaner's registry cleaner to other programs like regseeker,i can say that ccleaner is very mild and does nothing harm to your OS or computer:)
