    Windows Security Center service problem windows 7!!!!


    hi everyone,

    i am using windows 7 home premium....i have a problem regarding the services in my laptop..my problem is that the security center service cannot be started...when i checked in the services list...there is no "Security Center" service in that list..


    hoping that you all can help me to solve this problem..

    I believe that Action Center replaces Windows Security Center in Windows 7. To launch Action Center you can click the Start orb and type Action Center into the start search box.

    when i click "Turn on now" tab it showing this message :

    It's there for me.

    See if running sfc/scannow picks up on anything missing.

    i already ran it but it's said that there is no violation....

    Follow the below tutorial to open and understand Services. This will show you the who what where to check things are turned on.
    Services - Start or Disable

    Once you are there find Security Center in list and highlight. Open Properties if necessary as shown in tutorial above.
    Then make sure Security Center in Services is set like mine in the Snip below.

    The SC service isn't listed in his list there.



    Looking around it seems most users with the problem is caused by malware.

    Might do some reading on the different suggestions in these threads.

    I found this thread on a Technet forum. See Niki Han's suggested fix. Other contrbutors to that thread say it fixed the problem.
