    Hi,
Sounds like you just did a repair install not a clean install.

No I did the full install. Wiped the HDDs and started from scratch.

    Hi,
Yea I believe Callender was the network pro and came up dry.

I'll assume all is well ?
The first link I posted on the other clean install thread would help if the updates system stalls/ hangs.... so refer to it to make sure the new update client is installed.

All seems fine. I downloaded the nVidia drivers - got the GeForce Experince and control panel. That all went well. Only odd thing is the missing wireless/bars icon in the notification area; it's just a computer icon with a plug. No big deal since I am connected to the Internet so I can live without it.

Now to start installing all those dang programs.....

    Hi,
I'd make sure all the updates are installed first

These are the updates I have so far (see attached). I'm running it again to see if there are any more.

Little lost on this. Do you want me to follow all the instructions you have in that post? If so, for what reason?

    Hi,
    It's up to you
You have 9 out of 350 updates installed
Review this for an older existing updating issue long way

Well that doesn't help me really, because I'm unclear what to do on that page you linked me to - Windows Update will not update and I've tried multiple fixes. The only thing I understood was the first step; turning update service off (manual).
