Cannot disable Ghostery add-on in IE9

Platform: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
IE9 32 bit

HELP!! For some reason, I cannot disable the Ghostery add-on for IE9. This problem occurs for accounts with or without admin privileges, & also occurs even when I launch IE9 as Administrator. For all other add-ons, the 'disable' button in the 'Manage add-ons' dialog box works fine. But for Ghostery, the disable button is greyed out & does not allow me to access this button. Even right clicking on Ghostery does not work since the Disable option in the list is greyed out here also. And does not matter if I launch IE9 as Administrator, the problem still occurs.

Note that I do not want to uninstall Ghostery for IE. I tried that & then when I launched IE9 after the uninstall, the message "Ghostery is loading..." was displayed, nothing happened, & IE9 froze & was then unusable.

I tried reporting this problem via a problem report on the Ghostery site, but their on-line problem reporting mechanism is broken.

So how do I disable Ghostery for IE9 if the above will not work?

Have you trying using Safe mode with networking ?
