Windows 7: Windows Live Mail (close email window after delete?)

Windows Live Mail (close email window after delete?)

Hi guys, I've searched high and low for an answer but can't seem to find one, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

In Microsoft Outlook, if you open an email you've received and click on the "delete" icon, the email window just closes and takes you back to the main Outlook window. This is an option that you set in the preferences, but Windows Mail either doesn't have it or I just can't find it.

What happens in Windows Mail is that when you click on the delete icon, instead of closing the email and going back to the main window, it just goes to the next email.

Has anyone figured this one out?

I actully use WLM and I am not aware of any setting that will cause it to close. I am sure there are people here that know of tweaks that can cause this, but I am not one of them.

Office 2007

in outlook, (not the email window), go to tools, options. In preferences tab, go to email options, and change the "after moving..." pulldown. Done.

I don't see a way, but nowadays with the size of monitors, and the enhancements and customization options for preview and reding panes, I read all my messages in reading pane, and when you delete there is nothing to close. Why not give that a shot? Maybe if you get used to it you won't need to open multiple windows to read the same thing?

I have an email I get on a regular basis that I can see who it's from and the subject line but the body of the email is blank. It has always been my belief that those who use Windows Mail or Windows Live mail and have it set to show the preview pane, will allow a potential virus to spread .Once you download and have it in the preview pane, it is the same as opening the email. Until I find out that this is not true, I have...
