550 0x800CCC78 Error with Live Mail Account
Hi,
A couple of days ago my Live Mail account started giving me 3219 error whenever I tried to send or receive emails. I'd read that enabling POP via outlook.com could fix this, so added a new Live Mail account with the same email address using altered settings and am now able to receive emails, but not send them.
These are the current settings:
Incoming mail: POP3 server
Incoming mail (POP3): pop-mail.outlook.com (port 995)
Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp-mail.outlook.com (port 25)
SSL conenction is enabled for both options.
Whenever I try to send an email from this account I get the following error message:
"The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address.
Server error: 550
Server Response: 550 5.7.3 Requested action aborted; user not authenticated.
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
It looks like the outgoing mail server's settings are wrong but I don't know what to change them to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
