    BSOD Issues

Hello all - just found this forum through google. I bought this PC about two months ago now and had no issues with it until two or three weeks ago when I started getting BSODs at random times - at start up, shut down, idling, gaming, you name it. I've gotten several BSODs since I turned logging on and have attached them to this post.

CyberpowerPC is the company I bought this from and their tech support has been less than helpful at best. Thanks in advance, and please, let me know if there is anything I can do to make this easier on you.

    Hey Bain welcome

these all seem to be caused by gdrv.sys which is a driver for Gigabyte's Dynamic Energy Saver Advanced program.

Since most of these were corrupted at some point by it I cant tell the dates on some of them. In any case go to mfr, download and install a fresh copy ONLY if it is nec. If it isnt remove it.

Mfr = manufacturer? Sorry, not sure what that means. I installed an update for this last night when I formatted and when I originally got the PC through the motherboard disc so I'm not sure if I need this driver or not.

Oh, I'm fine with getting rid of it! I'm just not sure how. I worded that poorly, sorry.

Edit: I can only find the Easy Saver program from gigabyte to remove and I have no idea if thats it. It sounds like it could be.

Edit2: Found it the program labeled Easy Saver was indeed the Easy Energy Saver Advanced and have started uninstalling it. Will this also remove the driver associated with it or do I need to do something else to get rid of it?

Lets see if you resolved your problem ... otherwise, you can goto c:/windows/system32/drivers and rename gdrv.sys to gdrv.bak, then reboot your computer...

I uninstalled and rebooted my PC as requested by the program. When it booted back up it froze before starting and I had to turn the power off to power it up again. It booted normally with no issues. I have found the gdrv.sys driver, however it is inside the windows folder(and is the only one here, strangely enough). Should I go ahead with changing .sys to .bak even though it is in the wrong place?

I renamed it as instructed and restarted again. It is still there, additionally, my PC BSOD'd again shortly after reboot. I attached the dump to this post. Thanks again for all of the help, sorry if I seem slow, I just don't want to make it worse

BSOD'd again saying System Service Exception immediately after signing in. I didn't get a dump from this one.
