BSOD (Again)

No offense taken at all. I just wanted to explain why we do things the way we do in the troubleshooting process.

I've attached a new set of files, this has all my dump files so far. The latest crash (that I just had) is the one occurring on 12/10/2010. Note that I was just about to remove the driver you told me to remove before when it crashed.

atikmpag.sys - ATI Video driver (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver)Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD. This is a video driver.

dxgkrnl.sys - A Windows system Direct X driver and very unlikely to cause a crash.

dxgmms1.sys - A Windows system Direct X driver and very unlikely to cause a crash.

CCC is known to cause problems on some systems. I also suggest you check the temps of your video card. Overheating can also cause BSOD's. Other drivers can cause conflicts the interfere with the video system.

You actually have three dumps dated 12/10/10. All are different error codes and all blame different drivers. One of them is a VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE error. However, since you updated your BIOS, uninstalled sptd.sys and changed RAM settings, these dumps files are moot.

Ok guys, sptd.sys is gone. As is my old BIOS. I have updated to version F7 and changed some of the RAM settings too. I have heard that the ADATA gaming series RAM I have is particularly power hungry so upped the voltage and reduced the timings to mobo recommended 9-9-9-24. We'll see how it goes...

You are welcome and thank you for the update. As far as that dump goes, we will just have to see how your system does.

There is certainly nothing to be sorry about; you updated your system and that is a good thing. It does change the hardware aspect and makes the previous dumps obsolete or at least partially obsolete - just like if you installed a new video card or uninstalled an obsolete program. I hope you do not get a BSOD later tonight. I hope you have solved your problem. But if you do get one, upload the dump and we will be here to look at it.
