    BSOD - cdd.dll

Hi. A couple of weeks ago I started getting BSOD at restart. Not at every restart. It happens once in a while, but it's annoying.

Page fault in non paged area and the culprit is cdd.dll.

    My computer specs:

Asus P5Q Pro, Q9550, A-DATA 4 GB RAM DDR2 800 Mhz , GTX 470 and they are about 1 year old, except the card that has about 7 months. I tested everything hardware with memtest, prime95, furmark and OCCT. I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and it's not pirated.

    Attachment 124523

I suspect that NOD32 is to blame, but I can't be sure. Thank you very much for your help.

    1. NOD32 & and Firewall
You pointed exactly right. Third party anti-virus software may conflict with Windows 7. Uninstall it and replace it with MS Security Essentials. Also for firewall, use Windows Firewall.

    2. Outdated Drivers
Outdated Drivers may cause blue screens. Update these, uninstall the software, associated with it. Some of these drivers may be named to .old. I'd wait for a BSOD Expert to tell if these drivers should be name to .old.

Thanks for your response. I don't have Riva Tuner installed ( maybe it's a leftover from a previous install ) and I don't know what the other two mean.

    Atipcie.sys file description
    Productname: ATI PCIE Driver
Description: ATI PCIE Driver for ATI PCIE chipset
Company: ATI Technologies Inc. File size: Various
    Isodrv64.sys file description
    Productname: ISODrive
    Description: ISO CD-ROM Device Driver
    Company: EZB Systems, Inc.

Information on those drivers. If you do not want the software associated with them, you can change the extension to .bup
If you want the software, update.

Although, I do wish you the best, I can tell you the odds of correcting the problem with this one report are rather low. You probably will get additional BSOD, just post in this thread.

So, in other words I have to update my chipset drivers ( but I have already the latest from the official page ) and the other one is from UltraISO. Thanks. This is the only BSOD I got in the past year and it started just after NOD32 was installed.

All I did was give you information about the drivers. If the problem started after the AV was installed, Id go with Security Essentials. Things like timing do not show in the report.
I did not do the analysis.

I updated my UltraIso install, but it seems that I can't locate those 3 *.sys files in C:\

This is your report. I do not see those drivers either. Could be my eyes. Want to recheck.

My analysis differs a bit from the other
I would uninstall the AntiVirus and replace with MSE, as noted above.

The reports that you have submitted reveal clues to the cause of your problem. They do not give a definitive answer. The more reports that we receive the more clues are made available improving our chances of finding a solution to your problem. You may have to experience several more BSODs until the final answer is discovered.

    If overclocking restore normal settings

    SFC /scannow
    System Files - SFC Command

    Download memtest86 and test RAM
    www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html
    Run for 8 passes
If passes try a good stick in each slot for 3 passes
If fails do the same for 8 passes.

    Scan with your Anti Virus

Asacpi.sys is a driver from the Austek Computer Corp. Your driver is very old and is known to cause BSOD's in current Windows versions; it must be updated

    How to Find Drivers
search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone - will help you search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - The most common drivers are listed on this page: http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.html
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: http://www.carrona.org/drvrdown.html
    and here
    http://www.edbott.com/weblog/the-vista-master-driver-list/
To remove any left over driver remnants, especially from graphics cards, use driver sweeper
    www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/
You can also locate information about your driver using this information
    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/96442-device-manager-finding-unknown-devices.html
After performing all of the above, post back with any new BSOD reports, or indicate that the attempted repairs were successful.
If any links do not work, if clicked, please copy and paste to browser address bar.
It is very important to remember that the dump reports only give clues as to the problem and although it is very easy to analyze only one or two, usually more are needed. If you experience additional BSOD after installing a current version of the driver in question, be sure to post so that we can use the additional information to assist you in preventing the BSOD's
