Very Sporadic BSOD
I hope you can help, this BSOD is driving me nuts!
I bought the system, custom built, over two years ago. After a few weeks I had a BSOD - the error suggests checking any hardware I installed recently but as it was all new I ignored it.
A few weeks went by and then another one...then another. The problem is every time I try to do something to address the problem I think I've fixed it because the BSOD is so sporadic! I can get it after half an hour or usage with several in one day or I can use it for hours without any problem and not see one for weeks!
It came with Vista Premium (32 bit) pre-installed. After months of this Windows 7 came out so I upgraded to Windows 7 and chose the wipe clean and upgrade from scratch option. I thought I'd beat it but then hardly used my PC for months afterwards.
Until early December. I've been using it regular since and the BSOD is back. I've done everything! I've upgraded the graphics card to the latest drivers, flashed the BIOS to the latest (none-Beta) version, I have AVAST and Spybot Seek & Destroy installed which I update and run regularly, I've defragged the HD, run every diag and benchmarking program I can think of and all have passed. I've opened the case up to check for anything loose, cleaned all the dust out. I've set the BIOS to default and turned all overclocking off, enabled the AMD Cool N Quiet option and set the power management setting in windows to power save mode in case it was a overheating issue.
As a last course of action I replaced the memory three weeks ago. I had two 1 gig sticks so decided to upgrade and I've got 2 2gig ones that are compatible with my motherboard. All seemed fine and again I thought I'd beat the ******* but in the last few days I've had two more BSOD's!!
I've attached the files as per the sticky, if you need any more info let me know!
