APPCRASHES with same fault module MSRATING.DLL

    APPCRASHES with same fault module MSRATING.DLL


    Some of my programs keep crashing whenever I start them. They all have one thing in common, the faulty dll is MSRATING.DLL. Here's one of the error details:

    I have tried replacing the dll but it didn't work. Help please!

    Try the sfc /scannow command. It may fix it.

    The sfc command recongnized there was something wrong with msrating.dll but could not fix it. Apps are still crashing.

    This is what the sfc log says:

    Next step would be a Repair/Install - read about the SP1 problem: Repair Install
