Yes I've backed up my files. My laptop is HP Envy 14, and ready to set it to factory setting. Just tell me what to do =)

Alright, when the computer starts up, you should see a screen with HP in the background. There should be something on the right hand bottom corner that says Recovery Options and gives the key to hit. I think it is F10 or F11 for HP, but I do not recall for sure. If you cannot determine it, I can reboot my HP computer and check for you.
Hi, I still have no luck. Tried a few times and it just freezes whenever I hit F11. I tried to open the windows "normally", and it just crash within seconds =(
Did you make the recovery DVDs for your computer when you first bought it?
Should've did that but no =( Didn't know that recovery DVD would be that helpful because never use any before. I was too naive
Don't feel too bad about it. I'd say 90% of people do not make the discs as they should. I have been guilty of it myself with my HP; had to spend $15 to have HP ship me some. Learned that lesson quickly. :)
Normally, we would suggest you do a clean install, but that would void the software warranty for HP, so they would not fix any Windows 7 problems. Considering you are still under warranty, I would recommend just contacting HP and seeing what they suggest. They will probably have you ship it in to be fixed. You should make your recovery discs when it is returned.
yeah. I'd do that. You said something about making the warranty void and is it ok to tell me what action would usually void the warranty? I tried to clean the fan few times and so I did open and close laptop cover.
Alrighty. Thanks for the help. =) I truly appreciate your help very much. Hope my laptop will get fixed soon. have a nice day!
