BSOD + Unable to Install Games
Hi SevenForums Members,
I have uploaded the required diagnostics file.
The BSOD screen always has this error line:
Memory_management
This problem started after I got a new graphics card and a 2GB RAM stick for my computer. There is a CRC error when I try to install some games, through an ISO image on a virtual drive. I have two hard disks and have tried to install the games after extracting their setup files to the drives of both the hard disks, but the same problem persists in both cases. The funny thing is that my friend has installed the game smoothly with the same ISO image. I even extracted the setup files from his computer and copied them to my computer. However, this method failed with a CRC error again. This has happened in the case of many game setups.
As for the BSOD, it occurs randomly. Sometimes I keep my computer turned on for a long duration (2 days) and play heavy games, but the BSOD doesn't occur, and then i safely turn off my computer. While sometimes when I would start light applications like Google Chrome or Microsoft Word, the computer will crash with a BSOD. This doesn't mean that Chrome or Word are buggy since I have used them for a long duration too, without any problems. In short, the BSOD can happen randomly, even if I just simply click around on the computer.
I ran Windows Memory Diagnostics test and it said I do have an error in my RAM. I didn't care to save the result log of the test.
I want to know the exact problem and if there is any problem in other areas too. Plus, the solution. :)
Thanks
