So it looks like it's a CPU problem then? I'm still under my 1 year warranty from iBuypower.. I could RMA my CPU. Do you think that is worthwhile?

vehement,
Took a quick look at your zip file and then needed to gather some info from your system specs.
Lo and Behold! No System Specs!
Help me, and the others: follow these instructions. I do have a strong preference for using SPECCY for this task.
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec (left-hand column)
To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info
In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Ø Manufacturer and Model OR Custom build.
Ø ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.
Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit
Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc
Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.
With Speccy, you can select with your mouse/touchpad info from the display
and paste that info into your specs.
SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.
So it's looking like a potential CPU problem then?
Should I RMA my CPU for a new one? Is that a worthwhile step?

My computer just froze and didn't restart while posting this. No BSOD just a frozen screen.
Sorry for the double post. I didn't think it posted. I will do the stress test now.
The stress test will simply help to rule out one possible source of your problem. No one is saying that you should rma the cpu.
I posted my system specs in my profile.
