Semi-random freezes BSOD 0x0000124

Ok I did everything you asked for.

Nothing is active in the startup (well it's not true since after installing the Microsoft Security it now launches on startup), still previously it was only sound and mouse related stuff so not much has happened here...

Uninstalled Jaba but soon after that had to install it again (Minecraft uses Java).

The MSE was download, installed and used. At first it made a quick scan and found one bad boy, then since it was so fast I ordered a full scan (3+ hours of scanning yay!) and got rid of all bad thing the program found (not that much).

After that I've tested stability during game time but nothing changed it looks like it. It still freezes from time to time and Minecraft is working worse probably due to reainstalling Java (I think it automaticly installed the 32 bit version not the 64 bit).

Any other ideas?

With that level of infection i would wipe the HD with Diskpart Clean Command and Clean Reinstall folllowing these same Best Practices to get and maintain a perfect install.

Due to the keylogger I'd also want a router firewall at all times, new secure passwords for everything.

My internet provider gives me a passive firewall all the time. I'm not sure how it works exactly but many applications where being blocked in the past by them, also setting up serwers etc. is pretty hard.

As for a clean instalation of Windows it won't happen in the near future. The system itself is pretty stable and I still need it for my studies (psring break almost over!). Migrating all the files Is a pretty painfull and tiring sequence.

Also I think that we are migrating from the main problem here (while I understand that the security problem is also pretty serious). The fact is that those lock-up freezes started the first day I clean installed Windows 7 (after formatting the C drive), so I'm almost 100% sure it's not virus related.

Yeasterday I was monitoring the Hard faluts/sec chart and I must say it was pretty flat all the time, but when I launched mumble (Minecraft was running) It wen't sky high to a 100% few times (but just on startup). Now what's more interesting the trio of Resource monitor + mumble + minecraft was one of the fastest way's to freeze the computer yet yeasterday It didn't freeze at al for like 30 minutes.

I'm not sure if it's connected to running a specific program (like speed-fan which I' running to cotrol my system fan) or is the amount of programs running whis is crashing (too much memory use?). I'll try to investigate more today, but my free time to use on testing (which essentially means playing games) is decreasing.

Did you use the drivers provided with the installer and optional Windows Updates after enabling Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware - as well as follow the other Best Practices in the reinstall tutorial? Only import drivers missing after all Updates are done.

Did you complete all Important and Optional Windows Updates?

If so set a restore point and try installing your chipset from the Asus Downloads webpage for your model.

Then work through the logs, establish a Clean Boot and use the System Resources as given in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot.

The opportunity to Clean Reinstall shouldn't be dreaded but welcomed as a chance to get a perfect reinstall, almost always better than getting a new PC given how much crap comes preinstalled on most.

Yes I'm getting my password's reseted.

Yes I had used the recommended drivers, but some drivers had to be manually installed (nvidia drivers and realtek).

Yes all Windows updates are installed...

Yes I allready did instal the chipset updates (see first post)

Launching the system in a clean boot mode (nothing except windows stuff loaded) still doesn't keep the computer from freezing up from time to time.

After few hours of playing I again managed to freeze up, so my theory that Speed-fan is cousing those freezes wen't down. It looks like the system freezes when using larger amount's of memory and or CPU. Playing minecraft didn't cause any problems but when I started using firefox, etc. and the resaurces where being used it managed to freeze at some point.

Have you tested RAM - Test with Memtest86+ for 5-6 passes or overnight, following the steps to isolate any problem stick or slot?

Your voltage adjustments might be a problem. Have you tried resetting them to defaults?

Did you uninstall Riva Tuner and Daemon tools as suggested by your BSOD analyst? Was the suspect driver updated or changed to another?

Have you done a reinstall following the Best Practices in Clean Reinstall? This willl give you a baseline perfect install to troubleshoot since many users apply XP methods to Win7 which don't work.
