- What exactly you were doing when you got the latest crash?
- How old the CD ROM is?
- Can you remove it, to test if it stops crashing or not?
► Again:
I would suggest you to turn on USB Selective Suspense.Code:******************************************************************************* * * * Bugcheck Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information. ► Do you use this computer as a part of a network or as a server?
If so, stop using this way till the debugging is complete.
► You are having some memory corruption:
Run RAM - Test with Memtest86+Code:kd> .exr 0xfffff880033fd408 ExceptionAddress: fffff8800a762fa4 (luafv!FindNodeOrParent+0x0000000000000054) ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation) ExceptionFlags: 00000000 NumberParameters: 2 Parameter[0]: 0000000000000000 Parameter[1]: 0000000000000026 Attempt to read from address 0000000000000026
► You need to update your network driver, too. ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????)
First, download the network card driver from manufactuer's website.
Then reinstall the driver:
- Click the Start Button, type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) in the Start Menu Search box and press Enter.
- Double click to expand "Network adaptors".
- Right click your network card and click Uninstall.
- Check "Delete driver software for this device" check box, click OK.
- Restart the computer
- If windows does not auto configure the appropriate drivers at startup, install the downloaded one manually.
Some common suggestions: Update all your device drivers like Realtek Audio, Intel HD Graphics etc.
Let us know how things went!
Hi,
Many thanks for your help.
Hum... almost nothing. Had IE9 open on sevenforums.comWhat exactly you were doing when you got the latest crash?
Probably one http download in progress (though I had many BSODs with NO pending download)
CDROM is brand new, like the computer. How old the CD ROM is?
Can you remove it, to test if it stops crashing or not?
It is embedded my laptop. I don't think it is extractible.
I was not using it (no disc inside) when crash occurred.
I followed your guide but USB Selective was already ON.I would suggest you to turn on USB Selective Suspense.
NoDo you use this computer as a part of a network or as a server?
Ran the test 3 passes with NO errors (didn't do the 7 passes, I thought I would damage my new laptop with fixed image for 5 hours... unless there is some way to switch to a black screen ?)You are having some memory corruption:
Run https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...memtest86.html
OK it seems I have version 1.0.035 whereas latest version is 1.0.036, I'll try to do the update. You need to update your network driver, too. ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows
With Antivir deactivated I didn't have any crash for more than 1 hour... and then it happened again.Let us know how things went!
Tomorrow I'll bring it back to the store (still under warranty).
I just wanted to avoid a probable return-to-Asus with 15 days wait.
Cheers
PAul
