Hello itfreak (I like your name , I am a Potter head.)

Test your HDD using WinDFT, get it from here: Downloads | HGST Storage

Also try Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
  • Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.
Update the Intel HD Graphics 3000 Driver, either from our forum link, Latest Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 7, or You may get it from Intel Download Center.
Moreover, you may run the Intel (R) Driver Update Utility to auto detect the appropriate driver for your computer.

Which antivirus do you use?

And, curious to know what you are doing with Dell System Detect on a Toshiba Satellite.

I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials. About the Dell System Detect, I was searching for some Diagnostic Tools and found Dell's application, and i thought maybe that tool will help me fix this problem. (naive)

Now I'll scan the HDD, and when i get the results I'll post them here.
