Freezing during anomalous times very random.

i dont know where to post this really since i didnt find the crash section.

was playing cs:go and the whole thing froze up. and i couldnt ctrlaltdelete or ctrlesc or anything to unfreeze it. and i might think its cause i have 1 hdd that is failing all the time wich might inflict this freezing on my system.
a "bugged" hdd. and i want to find it so i can replace it with a functioning hdd.

i hear from time to time that a hdd write header is clicking and have heard it for a long time and i think it makes my system unstable.

how do i find which one it is?

    Hello :).
Failing hardware is always a pain , you can follow these steps to figure out the condition of your HDD.
But I would make a backup of anything you can't afford to lose as it sounds as if the HDD isn't going to
    continue functioning for very long.

    Testing the HDD:

    1. Perform a Disk Check | Disk Check
    2. Then Post the results following | THIS METHOD
    3. Download SeaTools for Windows if you don't want to use a CD to test the HDD you can use YUMI – Multiboot USB Creator to create a bootable USB (instructions are found at the bottom of both pages).
    4. If SeaTools for Windows is unable to recognize your HDD visit HDDdiag and follow the instructions.

Next time a program hangs. Right click on the time, lower right of the screen. From the list, select Task Manager. Click on the Applications tab. From the list in the task window, click on the program which is non responsive. This will highlight your selection. Now, select End Tack. Be patient, sometimes it takes a minute to close.
