    BSOD - random, BAD_POOL_HEADER error ox00000019

    Friends,

Looking for your help in resolving a random BSOD occurrence on my desktop computer (windows 7 64 bit).

    • I cannot correlate this issue with a installation of any particular software.
    • It occurs about once a day.The attachment contains two Minidumps. Both have Bug Check String BAD_POOL_HEADER 0x00000019. However one has filenames "hal.dll,ntoskrnl.exe,usbehci.sys" while the other has "hal.dll,ntoskrnl.exe,USBPORT.SYS". I don't know what to conclude from this.
    • I have run memtest86 and it has not flagged any errors.
    • Latest updates pushed my microsoft have been applied.
    • I have attached the "DM Log Collector" logs and also the output WinDbg.

I first time posting on this forum. Please let me know if I've missed providing any information information.

    Thanks for your help.

Firefox is causing the problem. The image name is USBPORT.sys
I think your problem is that you are downloading files directly to your USB. That maybe causing the BSOD. I know it might sound crazy but it might just be the case.

    Laith,

It's true that firefox is my default browser.
However, I have seen BSOD even when I was not using the computer.
For sure, I was not downloading to a USB drive at the time any of the BSODs ohave ccurred.

Can you please comment on the two minidumps in attachment I had provided in my first post?
what's common between the who and what's different? Hoping that this might provide some clues.

BTW - I have downloaded Speccy. The system temperature is 31 C.

    thanks for your prompt response.

Hmm, If it was not downloading anything than it means one thing:
    The driver port is bad
    Update your USB port drivers.

I would recommend to update the USB port and some other drivers because they are outdated:
