Strange explorer.exe random crashes with dmp file

    Hey Guys,

I really need to learn more about diagnosing, I have had a very stable system, but recently explorer.exe has just been failing randomly.

Can someone help me look at the cause?

I read the how to prepare a dmp file from here:
    Troubleshooting Explorer.exe Crashing Issues

    File is attached.

So just wondering how I can do the diagnosis on this?

    Sean.

    Hi mate,

I don't actually have a BSOD it is a APPCRASH inside windows, only explorer.exe is dropping out.

I don't know if that helps with the difference, I followed the guide here:
    Troubleshooting Explorer.exe Crashing Issues

And merged teh .reg file that created the dump.

    Sean.

Ok mate my mistake I looked at the .ecxr problem but it means not a great deal to me.

What I could suggest is to run these (if you haven't already) just to eliminate any filing problems if that what it is
