    Your activation is a OEM SLP, a OEM SLP is meant for 1 computer only with no transfer allowed as the activation is flashed in the BIOS.

    To activate a OEM SLP, you need an exploit that lets the system think that all requirements for OEM SLP activation are present. The exploit modifies the system in a certain way that may make troubleshooting difficult, because the modifications are not known. The consequences of the modifications regarding the behaviour of the system are also unknown due to the various of possibilities. To get rid of this problem a clean installation is required.

    The thought that a counterfeit Windows 7 DVD is better that a original Microsoft DVD with Windows 7 is just plain silly. That boat don't float.

    Use this tutorial by Brink, using your Microsoft DVD and the COA key that it came with.

    Clean Install Windows 7

    Please read this slowly and carefully. I think it will help you. There is also a video that is very helpful.

    I've installed the counterfeit version twice and the original twice over 8 months - the boat does float :)

    Anyway, problem solved - faulty blue sata cable to main hard drive. Swapped it out and no more problems after 12 months.
