BSOD's and crashes related to ntoskrnl.exe

    Well from what Roy has said about it being an 8 machine to start with and that dodgy sticker and the fact that you have tried all those OS's it doesn't look good.

    The dump file you mentioned - ntoskrnl.exe is a very common dump and it can take a lot of tracking down but in essence unless I am terribly wrong it means that the OS is not loading properly because it cannot access the various parts of the machine for a number of reasons see this ntoskrnl.exe - Wikipedia

    Look I think that for all the grief of trying to get it going (which I don't think it will) buying an OEM and doing what I said with the drive will save so much time and energy and frayed nerves as well.

    No problems and I am sorry it turned out this way that techie was unfriendly to say the least to what has been done to your machine.

    Keep us posted if you get any problems.

    To install I expect you know but this may help Clean Install Windows 7

    When done have a look at this too it is very good at making the machine work faster and more efficient.

    Optimize Windows 7 I use this for all my machines
