    BSOD At random times, mostly when playing games, ATIKMDAG.sys

    Hi everyone,

    I've posted on this fourms about a year ago since it happened once before and somehow fixed it. I have recently upgraded my GPU from a R9 270x to a R9 580 (around 2 months ago). I made sure to remove all GPU drivers before installing my new GPU and installed all the new drivers afterward.

    My computer has always BSOD'd occasionally, sometimes it happens a lot but for a period of around 7 months I did not encounter any. Over the past few days however, I've been constantly having blue screens, mostly while in game but sometimes even when doing other things. I have no idea whats wrong and think I might need to clean install windows. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Hello and welcome PE mate there is a dump in the second load of files that indicate there is something wrong with the Logitec camera and I am assuming you have one

    Code:
    BugCheck 1E, {ffffffffc000001d, fffff88004a1dbd2, 0, 200}
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for lvrs64.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for lvrs64.sys
    ***** Kernel symbols are WRONG. Please fix symbols to do analysis.
    The bugcheck 1E I am not sure what that is relating to but suspect the memory but first I would update the driver for that camera

    Thanks for the response, I have installed the newest driver for my Logitech webcam. Can't believe that was making my computer BSOD. Will keep you posted if I get more blue screens

    Well it is showing up as a fault in it's system if you like you can check it yourself by going here and looking for the .sys I put in red. http://www.carrona.org/dvrref.php#L look down the L listings sna dyou will find that reference to it .

    Quick question, is there a reason why my bluescreen view is not showing up any of my recent BSODs?

    I am not sure what you mean because there was only three to look at. No it could be that you have used a cleaner like CCleaner or use disk cleanup to tidy up the machine and it has got rid a of a lot of them.

    Try resending them and lets see if there maybe has been a glitch.

    Ok George my friend now this is a common dump error and the usual fix isto uninstall the Catalytic Control Centre and run the GPU on it'sdriver alone .

    Code:
    BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff8800f22cbc9, fffff880038f4780,0}

    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for atikmdag.sys
    ***ERROR: Module load completed but symbols couldnot be loaded for atikmdag.sys
    ***** Kernel symbols areWRONG. Please fix symbols to do analysis.

    I would be tempted myself others may not agree to run these too after the fix is tried.

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

    https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f switch and if this does not makeany improvement then just run this switch instead /r in the commandline as per Option2

    Runthese in safe mode and the sfc often best run for two to three runs –you can leave out the /r switch in ckdsk if you feel it not necessary

    I dont think I have Catalytic Control Center anymore, it upgraded to AMD Software, should I remove that instead?

    Hmm just where did you look for the CCC and if it isn't in the Control Panel might be worth a look in the registry see my pic

    Now BEFORE you do anything with this please do this

    Registry - Backup and Restore
