OK.. I got another BSOD. This is really frustrating. The whole reason I built this new computer was because my old computer was giving me similar problems and now I am going through almost the same thing. Here is the minidump.

Have you run a system file check yet?

(type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow)

And it appears firefox was involved in this last crash.

I ran the SFC and it said Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Then it pointed me to a CBS.log, which I cannot make sense of. Maybe someone here can make something out of it.

Once again, I really appreciate the help!

Edit: I tried to go through and install all the latest drivers/BIOS on the ASUS site after this event. I will report back anything I notice.

Well, updating the drivers did not seem to work for me. I got another BSOD while browsing, which seems to be more common. After updating the drivers it seems like I am getting less BSODs. A couple days ago it was happening every time I shutdown and restarted my PC.

    I am really stumped.

    Hey JP

thi some was caused by firefox. I would lauch it in safe mode to see if one of the add-ons are causing it.

Also I would run a system file check
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow.

    let us know the results

I will test fox in safe mode. I ran the SFC and it said Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Then it pointed me to a CBS.log

I tested in Firefox in safemode and I ended up changing the timings for my ram in bios and ran only necessary files at startup and everything seemed to work better..but the bsods have not gone away.. I really do not know what to do.

I see that you're using a virtual CD/DVD drive program (Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120%, etc.). They are notorious for causing BSOD's in Windows Vista/Windows 7. Uninstall the program and let us know if BSOD's persist.

I thought I uninstalled all of those programs, but apparently I missed one. I will see if anything changes.

After testing, I think I may have a motherboard issue.

I noticed that when I set the corsair recommended speed, timings and voltage for my ram (1333mhz at 9-9-9-24 1.50v) Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit will not boot. When I set them lower, it boots fine (BSODs of course.) Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this?

I can set my timings properly when I only have 3 modules installed (in the orange slots) but when I add any modules in the black slots, I start to notice this issue. I also have tested one module in orange and one in black (I swapped them with others to make sure) and have gotten errors in memtest86+ immediately.

I think this may be causing my BSODs. How can I properly test for motherboard issues?
