Random BSOD, video card is probably the cause
I just recently did a major overhaul of my system replacing everything aside from my video card, PSU and hard drives. I also went from Windows 7 RC to a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium using upgrade media. I had no problems at all when running the RC, however I'm getting blue screens that always involve atikmpag.sys. Here's my system as it is now:
Core i5 750
GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2
2 x 2 GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870
Corsair TX650W
I have never had any issues with this card before. I've tried a number of things to fix this issue (re-installing catalyst drivers, updating mobo's BIOS, setting PCI-E freq to 100Mhz) but none of them are working, and google isn't turning up any answers. Anyone have any ideas what I could do to try to fix this short of getting an Nvidia card?
