Alright, I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Steam and no dice. I got 3 more BSODs today within minutes of each other. The dump files are attached. At this point I'm beginning to think it might be better to just format and reinstall again, even if it means spending a whole day to do it. Any opinions? Would just formatting from the win 7 install disk be the best option or is there another route you'd recommend?

These were probably caused by steam. The analysis points to win32k.sys with ir very rarely the cause. It seems like the one thing that is always running is steam.

Have you taken it up with them?

I dont even know if a clean install will help this, but I assume steam was working at some point in time.

let us know if we can help

I haven't had any problems with Steam before now but until only a few days ago i was still running XP 32 bit. I can only assume that this is some fault with Steam and 64 bit Win 7.

I guess it's time to contact Steam support. Thanks for all the help.
