Yes, I used a few linux system they seem to be getting better, the last one I used was mint mate 13. Which wasn't bad at all for linux. I used backtrack 5 which was ok but the linux mint has a real nice feel to it.
I used it on VMwork/player, virtual box and installed on a partition. which is gone now as I have deleted it.
Also had problems which I might add for anyone who may get them. When installing linux, it happened once. For dual boot be careful the set-up doesn't always do it right, as it make's two hidden partitions and won't allow you into windows. But DON't be fooled to think you need to clean install. You just have to use a program to access you hard drive, like partition manager :)
